Tapati and David's Wedding: Introduction

Our wedding on February 2nd, 1998 was very small by necessity, so I thought I'd share some pictures and our vows for those who couldn't be there or for other people planning weddings. I think our wedding is proof positive that you can have a very beautiful and meaningful wedding on a small budget.

The wedding took place in the home of our friend, Deana Meyer. She cooked an incredible Italian dinner for us. Friends Adreanna Riley and Jay Nitikman helped her in the kitchen.

Decorating was done by the daughter of the bride, Ramya Cody. She also made the bride's bouquet and decorated the small cake. Hint: when you buy the flowers or any bouguets, don't say they are for a wedding. It's amazing how the price goes up once you use the W word.

Guests of the groom included the groom's parents, Mike and Judy Grassi of Santa Cruz, maternal grandfather Andrew Caviglia, paternal grandmother Olga Grassi and her daughter, Diane Grassi.

Guests of the bride included her daughter, Ramya Cody, and friends Randa-Noel Johnson, Rebecca Grey, Deana Meyer, and Rob Saul.

Music for the processional was taken from The Chieftains Celtic Wedding cd, and after the ceremony Ani DiFranco's version of Amazing Grace was played, along with alternating Italian and Celtic music during dinner.
