I assume you are aware of Saffire-Uppity Blueswomen?
They are a truly irreverent blues act, with verses that are not only raunchy, but uplifting and validating for women.
They even have a song that includes the number to a national abuse hotline ("Dump that Chump"), and they take time during their act to encourage women to get help if they are being abused.
Not only that, but these gals are truly talented and put on one hell of a show. Men even love them (I don't think they dare not to, with the attitude floating in the air at an "Uppity" show. )
