I have decided to go from six issues per year to four: Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter. I need to spend time developing the other aspects of my site--the archives. Those of you familiar with my site know I plan to have pages with resources for just about any progressive issue you can name. For an example, check out my domestic violence and surviving poverty pages (links at bottom of my home page).
Submissions have dropped off lately. If you have been thinking you might like to submit an article, a poem, or a story--now is the time!
If you like to write short stories, perhaps you can win $50.00 by writing one under 100 words (not counting the title). Short-short stories are often nothing more than scenes that hint at other events or themes--"slice-of-life". Some of them are quite clever, as you know if you've ever read the local 66 word story contests.
I haven't had any submissions for my contest yet--so it's wide open. If only one brave soul submits such a story, they automatically win! And it's a no lose situation because they will all be published (barring very offensive material).
The deadline has been extended to November 5, 1999. Email subs@labyris.com.
